41 illegal aliens apprehended at western New York motel

Forty-one illegal aliens from Mexico were taken into custody at a motel where they had been living for several months, immigration officials said Tuesday. The aliens were working for a western New York employer who had been shown false documentation and believed they had legal worker status, said Frances Holmes, district director of the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Buffalo.
She declined to identify the employer, who will face no charges. Officials were tipped to the motel, 30 miles south of Buffalo, by local residents and found the Mexican and U.S. flags flying outside.
The workers told officials they had been earning about $6 per hour at their job site since March....
